Episcopal Partnership for Global Mission launches social networking site

[Episcopal News Service] The Episcopal Partnership for Global Mission, a network of global mission organizations and activists, recently launched a new website with a social networking component to provide a platform for mission enthusiasts to connect with one another.

"Through this network, one can stay in touch with other mission friends, read about mission trips, connect to blogs, send and receive messages among friends, and view photos from recent mission trips," an EPGM press release said. "This networking capacity provides the opportunity for meeting and forming community across geographical boundaries and differences of culture, language, ethnicity, and nationality."

To join the conversation, visit the EPGM network sign-up page to create an account, and log in. The press release said EPGM welcomes anyone who is interested in outreach and global mission to join in the dialogue, regardless of membership in the partnership.

EPGM describes itself as "a network of Episcopal Church-affiliated global mission organizations and mission activists who catalyze consultation, mutual learning and collaborative action." The partnership was inaugurated in 2000 with the participation of mission-related organizations, including congregations, dioceses, voluntary agencies, networks and the Executive Council of the Episcopal Church.

Further information about EPGM and how to become a member is available here.
