Episcopal Relief & Development receives 4-star rating from Charity Navigator
"Only 14 percent of the charities we rate have received at least three consecutive 4-star evaluations," said Ken Berger, Charity Navigator's president and chief executive officer, in a press release. This rating indicates that "Episcopal Relief & Development consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way, and outperforms most other charities in America. This 'exceptional' designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Episcopal Relief & Development from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust."
At a time when donors are concerned about the effective and efficient use of their contributions, the ratings given by these watchdog agencies are more important than ever.
"We are extremely pleased to receive Charity Navigator's highest rating for the third consecutive year," said Rob Radtke, Episcopal Relief & Development president. "All Episcopalians can be proud of this rating and feel assured that their gifts are being used as efficiently as possible to reach those in need."
"But," continued Radtke, "as I travel to the field and meet many of our program participants, I'm reminded of something just as important. This efficiency means that we're able to help even more people around the world better their lives in measurable and tangible ways."
