Presiding Bishop's message for the fifth anniversary of 9/11
As the fifth anniversary of the tragic events of 9/11 approaches, Presiding Bishop Frank T. Griswold calls on all people to commit to "a future in which the events of that day will not be repeated." He also upholds the United Nations' Millennium Development Goals as giving the governments of the world a clear and workable plan for addressing "the vast disparity between the wealth of nations ... and the extreme poverty of nearly half of the world's people."  Watch the Video

Presiding Bishop supports listening process, writes to primates
In a February 2006 letter to the primates and moderators of the Anglican Communion, Presiding Bishop Frank Griswold conveyed his support for the listening process and his hope that there may be more opportunities for Anglicans to meet face to face. The Anglican Communion’s listening process was first requested at the Lambeth Conference of Bishops in 1998 and gained fresh impetus at the Anglican Consultative Council meeting in June 2005. It is intended to honor the process of mutual listening throughout the Communion, including listening to the experiences of gay and lesbian people. In an interview with Episcopal News Service, Griswold speaks about the significance of listening to the experiences and beliefs of Anglicans throughout the world.  Listen Here
