Palm Sunday weekend was spent in Cuatro Esquines (Four Corners) a largely agrarian community.  Here Bishop Griswold is welcomed by some of the younger members of the congregation.

Accompanied by the Rector of the Seminary in Matanzas, Reinerio Arce (extreme right) Bishop Griswold met with Caridad Diego (left), head of the government Religious Affairs Office, and her associate, Maria de los Angeles.  A photograph of former Cuban President, Fidel Castro looks on from the background.

During his time in Cuba Bishop Griswold led a Lenten retreat for the clergy of the diocese at the invitation of Bishop Miquel Tamayo.  He also preached and presided at the Cathedral in Havana.  Here is an enthusiastic Cuban sharing of the Peace.  To Bishop Griswold's left are the two suffragans of the Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Ulises Aguero Prendes and the Rt. Rev. Nerva Cot Aguilera.
